So today I shot with Geraldine Rodriguez, who is personally one of my favorite photographers that I have worked with. She has a very fun, laid back shooting style and somehow always seems to get the best out of me! The pictures are all for her upcoming shows in both Chicago and California, (I'll post the dates and invitation later - which I am on... also very cool :) )... Anyway, the pictures for her show can't be released because otherwise why would you come??!! But it completely bums me out because the sweetest stuff I can't show anyone!!!! This time I shot with her, the make-up was done by David Arias and the concept was Geraldine's own. Here is a small sample of the types of stuff she does!! These pictures were not apart of the larger idea at all - and they weren't retouched.... Geraldine is just that good, haha!

I am SO EXCITED for this project and I hope all of you will go see the event. :)

Maureen Peabody Pictures - I figured out how to put them on here! :)

Here are some of the pictures from the Maureen Peabody shoot! Hope you like them!! :)
Wow! I feel so behind. I've been so busy lately I haven't been able to keep up with this, but better late than never... right?

Hmmm.... well just a little bit about me besides modeling, I am currently a student and a double major in both Journalism and International Studies at DePaul University. I transferred in from Miami University of Ohio. I was born and raised in Ohio all of my life.... OH-IO all the way :)

But on the other hand, I LOVE CHICAGO and all it has to offer. There are so many opportunities which people take for granted here. I am also really into social justice issues, particuarly with a stress in race relations. Besides that, I love writing, talking to people about their lives and genuinely interacting. I'm a positive, very focused person with a lot of personal and professional goals!

(Wow, almost sounds like a dating profile.... I also like long walks on the beach, haha, just kidding!)

Asha posted the new Y Bar ad that just recently came out in CS 8th Anniversary Issue - Pg. 37 ;) and I am so excited about it! What a weird feeling!!! To open a publication and see your face in it and know all the stories and fun interactions that took place in order to get one little picture.

Modeling is a lot different than it looks people!! The hardest part isn't necessarily that a pose is hard or that you can't get a certain look in your eye - though that too is important - but there is so much that goes along in preparation. Meeting people, talking, networking, keeping your body in shape!

Some people are born naturally lucky, they just have that innate ability to eat pastry after pastry and steak after steak... I am not one of those people! My life is a constant regimented dieting routine and like everyone else, I do cheat... but when I do, I literally am only cheating myself!

It is hard to embrace the fact that people don't really accept you in certain fields, particuarly ones like this, for just having a good heart. But thats life! This is my job, not just a hobby. In order to be successful you have to push yourself mentally harder than you ever thought possible! You really do control your own future!!!

But enough about my little motivational speeches, (haha) and more about some of the stuff I have been up to lately.

I just shot with Maureen Peabody, a local Chicago photographer and recent graduate of Columbia College - her stuff is AWESOME. The MUA Brittany Edens was also very cool. We did a project for an up and coming New York designer, who shall be nameless until I get confirmation on what her "official" title is to be.

I'll write more as soon as finals are over as well. One week left, whew!!!!!!!
